Karen is a trauma‑informed therapist and MAP Method™ practitioner offering online therapy for adults across the UK. With over 12 years’ experience, she blends therapeutic counselling, neuroscience‑based tools and mind‑body approaches to support clients experiencing anxiety, trauma, emotional overwhelm, low self‑worth and long‑standing emotional patterns rooted in early experiences.
Her work is grounded in safety, compassion and a whole‑person approach. Karen supports clients to understand their inner world, regulate their nervous system and gently shift the subconscious patterns that keep them feeling stuck. She is experienced in working with attachment wounds, childhood trauma, stress responses, and the emotional impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
Alongside counselling, Karen integrates the MAP Method™ — a gentle, neuroscience‑based approach that helps reprocess emotional triggers without needing to revisit distressing memories. This allows clients to create change at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
Karen holds full Professional Protection and Public Liability Insurance, is registered with the ICO, and has been an accredited member of The National Counselling Society (NCS) since 2014. She is also a certified MAP Coaching Institute practitioner and adheres to all relevant ethical frameworks, supervision requirements and professional standards.
